Hello, I'm Taylor

Taylor Trusty is an entrepreneur, speaker, and strategist who's passionate about business and technology. He is co-founder of Signal Insights, founder of Trusty Index, and board member of Entrepreneurs' Organization NYC.

Taylor has started several companies, most notably Blackstone Media -- a digital creative and marketing agency that helps brands such as Toyota Forklifts, Sonoma-Cutrer, and Mercer grow their businesses online. In 2018, he sold Blackstone to Boston-based ADK Group.

Taylor was named an Emerging Entrepreneur into the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, selected as one of the Hot Dozen by the American Advertising Federation, and Business First recognized him as one of 20 People to Know in Technology.

He has spoken to over 100 groups about entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and usability, including the American Advertising Federation, Vistage, D2 Cincinnati, Indiana Tourism Association, Direct Marketing Association of Long Island, Code PaLOUsa, and World Trade Center Kentucky.

    2006 - 2018

    Had the distinct honor of starting, building, pouring life and soul, and later selling a digital marketing agency. Key clients included Toyota Material Handling, Sonoma-Cutrer / Brown-Forman, Mercer, and PetFirst Pet Insurance. Blackstone won many awards, including a national W³ Awards Best in Show, on its way to growing into a beautiful office and 20 employees. I turned over the day-to-day operations in 2017 and sold the business in the summer of 2018 to Boston-based ADK Group.

  • Founder / CEO - StarkNine

    2013 - 2015

    Built a texting platform for Yellow Cab Kentucky in 2011 that allowed people to text for cabs. StarkNine was a spinout to turn that IP into a live chat and SMS software product, ChatBlend, for ecommerce companies.

  • Co-Founder - HobbyEdge Sports

    2005 - 2006

    Co-founded HobbyEdge Sports, a sports collectibles ecommerce company, with two friends. Primarily sold anything with a pro or collegiate team logo on it, from mini helmets to wall clocks to trash cans and most things in between.
